Operations

At OGP, the focus is on cost-effective operations, where employees are empowered to make decisions at their level and non-core tasks are outsourced. The balance between spending human and financial resources, and saving costs, is closely managed both in the field and in the office. Over the years, OGP has increased and maintained production, and at the same time, reduced operating and administration costs. The combination has resulted in lower than industry average cost/MCFG.

OGP is actively expanding operations to include newly acquired wells. Costs on a per unit production basis continue to be reduced through economy of scale and the predominant outsourcing of non-core tasks.

Arkoma Basin

OGP operates 4 MMCFE/PD in the Arkoma Basin, in Crawford county, Arkansas, and LeFlore county, Oklahoma. Of the 97 total operated wells, 30 are in Arkansas and 67 are in Oklahoma.

The wells located in Arkansas are in the Hollis Lake field and are producing from conventional reservoirs at depths between 2,500’ and 7,000’.

The wells in Oklahoma are in the Spiro SE field and produce from both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. The unconventional wells are coalbed methane, producing from the Hartshorne coal at ±1,500’. The conventional wells are producing from the Spiro, Atoka, and Cromwell sands at 4,500’ to 7,000’.

Cahaba Basin

OGP operates 2 MMCFE/PD from 145 wells in the Cahaba Basin, located in Shelby and Bibb counties, Alabama. These wells are all unconventional in nature, producing from several promenent coal seams, more specifically in the Big Bone and Nunnely series. OGP, with its partners, holds a large acreage position in the area for possible further development.

As part of the Chaba Basin operations, OGP controls and operates a 22 mile Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated transmission line. This line delivers the Cahaba Basin production to market at Transco Zone 4, a regional hub.
